"Trey Bright is an exceptional attorney and a great human being. I've personally closed dozens of real estate deals with Bright Law, PLLC (my firm has closed hundreds with them!), and I encourage all of my clients and cross sales to use them. Bright Law has an impressive response time, depth of knowledge, and mobile closings (my favorite!). We can close at the property, Starbucks, client's work--literally anywhere within a 6-county radius. They regularly go above and beyond and always have an answer for my endless questions! They are an asset!"

FAQs About Real Estate Law

Our goal at Bright Law, PLLC is to have you leave our real estate law firm with all the answers you need regarding your real estate transaction. Although no list of common questions would address every specific situation, we thought we would share a few that relate to many real estate law cases here in the Huntersville, North Carolina area.

What is Title Insurance?

During a transfer of real estate from one owner to another, it is imperative to learn if there are any defects in the title. While a complete and thorough title search is conducted before closing, title insurance protects you and the lender should something show up later, such as an unknown lien, undiscovered will, forged documents, or illegal records.

What is the purpose of the due diligence period?

As a buyer, under real estate law, you have a set period of time as outlined in the contract in which to have inspections performed on the property. If you find a problem during this time, you have the option to renegotiate with the seller or cancel the contract. It is prudent to have professionals conduct various inspections, and you should do research regarding any information given about the property to be sure it is accurate.

Easy to work with
Bright Law has consistently impressed me with their quick communication, efficiency, and high level of professionalism. I highly recommend them for anything real estate related!
Bright Law, PLLC is truly fantastic! As a Real Estate Agent, I have closed many transactions with them and the experience has always been top tier. Their team is very responsive and efficient. Their professionalism is the best you will find in Charlotte and their level of knowledge is always reassuring that my transactions are in good hands! I recommend 10/10!
I cannot say enough great things about Bright Law. I am a local real estate agent and LOVE working with the Bright Team, as they are extremely professional, responsive, and always give my clients the best experience possible.
Bright Law is the best closing attorney office in the Charlotte area. I have been Realtor for ten years, and I have experience with most attorney offices in the area. They have an efficient system and are always available with a quick response to questions. Their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Their mobile closing option makes it convenient for every closing that I have.
I recently worked with Bright Law PLLC for my home sale closing, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. As an out-of-state seller, I was initially concerned about handling the closing remotely, but the team made the entire process seamless and stress-free.The paralegals—Erin, Sylvia, Amanda, and Soua—were nothing short of phenomenal. They worked together like a well-oiled machine, ensuring every detail was handled promptly and accurately. Their responsiveness through secure messaging and phone calls was exceptional, always keeping me informed and answering my questions with clarity and patience.Even on the day of closing, when an unexpected issue arose with the funds wiring process and sent me into a panic, they remained calm, professional, and reassuring. Their respectful and supportive approach turned what could have been a stressful situation into a manageable one.I highly recommend Bright Law PLLC to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient real estate law firm. Their dedication to client service and teamwork truly set them apart!
Bright Law is our go-to closing attorney for real estate transactions. Trey and his team are thorough, correct issues quickly when they arise, and have been very accommodating when we have unique contract language that isn't covered by standard forms. They also do mobile closings, so we have closed at the property on several occasions and even in the parking lot of a condo building. We also love their secure portal for messaging so that our clients know that any emails coming from them are legit. I could not recommend them more.
Closing made easy! As an agent I've used them dozens of times for my clients but also have leaned on them for additional real estate matters. They're an outstanding law firm that I recommend to anyone and everyone. Keep up the great work team!!
Bright Law is an outstanding real estate law firm for several key reasons. Their exceptional communication ensures a seamless process from start to finish, and their deep expertise, paired with a confident approach, makes every transaction feel secure. They also have fantastic interpersonal skills, always putting clients at ease. I’ve had the pleasure of handling numerous closings with Bright Law, and each one has been professional, efficient, and top-notch. I highly recommend Bright Law to anyone in the area in need of a first-rate real estate closing attorney!
Trey Bright and his team are fantastic. He's pragmatic, responsive, and empathetic, which are traits that my team has found to be uncommon in the legal profession. Bright is a valuable partner for us and our clients. Thanks Bright Law!
Bright Law is excellent to work with. I have worked with them multiple times professionally. The transactions and communications are prompt, organized, and professional. I would recommend them to anyone! Plus, they offer the convenience of mobile closings! In response to a poor review from Cedora Leviner and White Stag Real Estate. I was the Buyers Agent in that transaction; they were the sellers. A credit was given by both the sellers and lender. I caught a discrepancy that showed our agreed upon credit from the sellers was not being completely utilized due to how the lender had reported things. I immediately let their agent at White Stag know that there would be changes to the CD. Unfortunately, it seems he did not communicate this to his clients. Because we had received the CD day prior to close, due to lender hang ups, it was within their rights to delay the close to review further, they (or their realtor) elected not to. The $1300 that they claim was extra out of pocket at closing was the remaining amount of a credit that they had previously agreed upon in the purchase contract. This is why brokers review the CD's with clients - to check for mistakes. Their realtor originally either did not catch the discrepancy himself or caught it and thought we were leaving money on the table and they would cash in on the lender's mistake by not bringing it to anyone's attention. In no way was Bright Law responsible for how things played out for those customers. Unfortunately, with self-proclaimed discounted brokers and anything in life, you may get what you pay for.
Great attorney! Very knowledgeable and trustworthy.
I have bought/sold a few times in the last few years and while my interaction with Bright Law has only just begun as the closing date is a month away, so far Bright Law has impressed me very much with their responsiveness and ability to think creatively. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them in the future. My only wish is they did more than just real estate!Update: After writing the above review and having a second transaction with BrightLaw, I believe I over rated them. While I still think they are ok if the real estate transaction is straightforward, I would definitely hesitate to use them again. There were two minor errors in both transactions which were easily resolved. The main issue I had is that I felt they are too quick to accept any "charge" without question and happy to pass it along during the transaction. I want my lawyer to "mean" and perhaps they are just too nice...hard to say.
Straightforward, no fuss closing. No hidden extra costs. Services as advertised and easy to get in touch with them. Attorney available to discuss any questions. Mobile closing was easy!
Bright Law is always great to work with. They are on the ball and always guarantee a smooth closing.
Brett Lyle's one of the best Realtors I've ever seen explain stuff to you so you have not confused and they're just a really good place if you need to sell home
They've been amazing to work with! Answers the phone, responds to emails. An overall pleasure to work with
Bright Law did an excellent job with my buyer's closing. Office bright and cheery for the holidays. Answered all questions thourghly
Smooth closing, very quick and competent communication and updates throughout the transaction. Highly recommend them for any real estate closings in the Charlotte area.
I'd give them more stars if I could. I used their services recently to close on a land purchase and they were fantastic to work with. You can do everything with them electronically through their portal and they are incredibly responsive, sometimes even within a few minutes. They communicate clearly, keep all documents organized and you sign everything electronically so no more printing, signing, scanning. Thank you for making my closing so easy and stress free!
As an agent I appreciate how professional and responsive Trey & his team are! This team works endlessly to make sure that the transaction is as smooth as possible.
Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
We just bought a house and used Ckezepis & Bright Law as our closing attorney. Trey and Myles were great to work with and made the closing process a breeze. If you are buying or selling a house in North Carolina, I highly recommend working with their team!
Used them on the recommendation of my buyer's agent, Renee Hornor, to close on the purchase of a home. Thorough and responsive, smoothest closing transaction I have had in North Carolina.
Excellent service and they are fast
Nice people, smooth closing process.
Amazing resource for all things real estate and one of my go tos for closings!
Their online portal makes communication easy and effective. Mobile closings are convenient and separate Justin and his team from all other closing attorneys! As a realtor I highly recommend them to all of my clients!
Greta experience working with this law firm. They were always so responsive and I love this office location. Our team (high performance real estate advisors) has always had a great experience with Ckezepis.
Justin and his team worked hard to make sure our transaction and all its changes were quickly and professionally handled. Very impressed with them. Thanks all! We'll use you again!
Great Law firm. Helped me sell and buy a new home...... thx
Most fast & convenient closings in town!
Justin and the team at Ckezepis Law did a phenomenal job facilitating my assignment sale and were a pleasure to work with. Great choice for anyone looking to close a real estate transaction and I am thrilled to have a new go-to contact in the Mecklenburg area.
Very efficient home closing. All the paper work was ready and we were in and out.
Best things about them: Consistent communication and personal attention...these are thing that are important to me as a real estate investor who has done repeated closings with Justin. The paralegals are nice, knowledgable, and return calls/email promptly.
